Princeton, N.J. - Theresa Sherry was named the Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week today after she scored a combined eight goals to lead Princeton past Columbia and Georgetown last week. The Princeton junior leads the team in both goals and assists after seven games played this season.
Sherry opened the week with five goals on five shots against Columbia. She picked up four ground balls and forced two turnovers as Princeton won 15-2. Sherry continued her hot shooting and stayed perfect for the week with three more goals on three more shots in Princeton's 13-11 overtime win versus Georgetown on Friday.
For the week, Sherry totaled eight goals on eight shots, had seven ground balls and three caused turnovers. She is Princeton's first Ivy League athlete of the week this season and has posted 12 goals in Princeton's three-game winning streak.
