Women's Lacrosse Heads To Yale On Saturday

Princeton, N.J. - After five straight night games eight non-conference battles, the Tigers are ready for Ivy competition and a Saturday afternoon tilt with Yale at New Haven. Both squads come in with 7-3 overall records, but Princeton is 2-0 in the league and looking for its 13th straight conference win.
The Tigers come in streaking as winners of their last six. They are ranked No. 5 in this week's IWLCA poll while Yale is at No. 14. The Bulldogs lost at Rutgers on Wednesday night and are 2-1 in the conference this season.
Princeton is 2-0 in the Ivy League this year enters Saturday with a 12-game win streak versus Ivy opponents. The Tigers won the conference last season and look to take the Ivy title for the third straight year, something they have never done before.
Junior Theresa Sherry, who has played a big role in Princeton's current six-game streak, will lead the Tigers into the heart of the conference schedule. Sherry leads the team with 28 goals and 31 points and has scored at least three goals in each of Princeton's last six games.
The defense has also upped its intensity and with it, a rise in the confidence of sophomore goalkeeper Sarah Kolodner. In her last two starts, Kolodner has registered 20 saves and has allowed a total of four goals.
Saturday's game is the first of four straight Ivy contests for the Orange and Black, three of which are on the road. The Tigers are 6-6-1 all-time at New Haven but have won their last five games against Yale. Game time on Saturday is 2 p.m.
