Men's Lightweight Crew Drops Goldthwait Cup To Harvard

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Princeton men's lightweight crew dropped its regular-season finale Saturday morning, losing the Goldthwait Cup to Harvard. Princeton won't have to wait long to try and avenge the loss though, as the two teams could meet in the grand final of the Eastern Sprints in two weeks.
Harvard's first varsity took its 37th Goldthwait Cup by finishing in a time of 6:15.3, nearly four seconds ahead of second-place Yale (6:19.). Princeton, which is second to Harvard all-time with 23 Goldthwait Cup titles, placed third in 6:20.4.
Princeton took the second varsity race in 6:23.4, 1.5 seconds quicker than Yale.
