Avery Kiser Medals At Ivy League Golf Championships

Trenton, N.J. - Sophomore Avery Kiser repeated as tournament champion and won the 2003 Ivy League Golf Championship at Ridgewood Country Club in Trenton, N.J. on Sunday. Kiser finished her final round by shooting par and Princeton placed second as a team by shooting 10 strokes better than anyone else on the final day.
Princeton finished 10 strokes back of Yale by shooting a three-round total of 958. The Tigers registered a 309 in Sunday's final round behind Kiser's 73. Kiser finished with a 226 and classmate Meg Nakamura, who finished fifth overall, shot a 239 over the two-day competition.
Freshman Emma Stachowicz tied for eighth with a 36-hole score of 244 while Esty Dwek (251) and Tarayn Haladay (254) rounded out the Tiger scoring.
Kiser has won three of Princeton's last four tournaments and has won the Ivy title in each of her first two seasons with the team.
Princeton placed second at the 2002 Ivy League Championships as well.
