Men's Water Polo Remains Undefeated At North/South Invitational

PRINCETON, N.J. - John Stover scored four goals against Harvard and three against Brown to help the Tigers to a 3-0 record on the second day of the North/South Invitational and of their 2003 season.
Princeton first defeated Harvard, 11-7, in the 12:30 p.m. game. Stover scored once in the first period while the Crimson had three early goals. The Tigers rebounded from their deficit by outscoring Harvard 3-1 in the second quarter. Jamal Motlagh and Dan McKenna each had one goal before the half.
Princeton sealed the game in the third period when Michael Murray, Victor Wakefield and Stover each scored, while the Tiger defense held the Crimson scoreless. With a 8-4 advantage heading into the final quarter, Princeton scored three more goals and finished the game with the 11-7 win. Kyle Morgan and Chris Kelsch each added one goal for the Tigers. In the final game of the night, Princeton defeated Brown, 14-8, to remain undefeated in three games this season. The Tigers outscored the Bears 4-1 in the first quarter off goals by Jacob Harter, Dan Holligan, Reid Joseph and Stover. Stover finished with a game-high three goals while Joseph had two. Halliday, Motlagh, Murray, Kelsch, McKenna and Nick Seaver chipped in a goal apiece.
The Tigers (3-0) face Iona in the final match-up of the weekend tomorrow, Sunday Sept. 14 at 10:40 a.m.
