Yale defeated Princeton 8-1 in women's squash at Jadwin Gym Saturday afternoon. The Bulldogs, the No. 1-ranked team in the country, won the top eight matches en route to the victory.
"Overall Yale is a very deep team and has the top-end players too," Princeton coach Gail Ramsay said. "The Princeton women came to play but were unable to shake the talented and experienced Yale team. Anina Nolan had a great win at 9 against Sarah Coleman. She played well and was able to keep her focus when she needed to. Gen Lessard also played her opponent tough. She was up 2-1 and was playing a good tactical game. In the 4th Lauren came out strong and changed the pace a bit and Gen took a minute to adjust and dropped the 4th. The 5th game was well fought but Lauren managed to keep the pressure up very well. Gen did play a very good match."
