Army Tops Sprint Football 35-0 In Bizarre Game

Princeton had the ball for 42:17 and did not score. Army ran 37 plays all night - and scored 35 points. No Army touchdown covered fewer than 66 yards.
On a night of wild statistics, the Army sprint football team came away with a 35-0 win over Princeton in the Collegiate Sprint Football League opener for both.
Army, the defending CSFL champion, improved to 3-1 overall and 1-0 in the league. Princeton, who hosts Cornell Friday night, is now 0-3, 0-1.
The words "big play" do not begin to describe Army's offense in the game, and the words "bend but don't break" do little justice to the defense.
Army's touchdowns came on a 94-yard run from scrimmage, touchdown passes of 66, 80 and 79 yards and a fumble recovery of 69 yards.
Princeton ran an astonishing 94 plays in the game, but four interceptions and two lost fumbles kept the Tigers off the board.
Matt Worley had a big night for Princeton, with 21 carries for 84 yards, five receptions for 49 yards and six tackles.
