PRINCETON - The Princeton men's squash team, which left the season opener with only two of its top 11 returning players healthy, fell 6-3 to Cornell in the season-opening match.
Yasser El Halaby is one of those two healthy returners, and he continues to be an anchor at the top spot. The two-time defending national champion opened his 2004-05 season against a solid player from Cornell, Matt Serediak. El Halaby won in three games, although Serediak made him work in a 9-5, 9-4, 9-3 win.
Princeton also got wins from Tom McKay and Tim Callahan at the No. 7 and No. 8 spots, but the Big Red dominated near the top of the lineup and left with a huge victory in the Ivy League opener for both teams.
