Women's Tennis Falls to Penn State, 7-0

STATE COLLEGE, PA - The Princeton women's tennis team completed a weekend of action in State College, Pa., with a 7-0 loss to host Penn State Sunday afternoon.
Two of the six singles matches on the day went to three sets. Princeton No. 1 Darcy Robertson took the second set against Leigh Ann Merryman 6-4 and took the third set to a tiebreak before falling 9-7 in the tiebreaker. At No. 4, Laura Trimble took the second set 6-1 against Sarah Spence after falling in the first set, 6-3, but fell to Spence in a 10-point tiebreak by a 10-6 score.
Penn State swept the doubles matches. Princeton's No. 3 team of Trimble and Stephanie Berg played a tight match with Sasha Abraham and Katelyn BeVard before falling 8-6.
Princeton hosts George Washington and travels to Maryland next weekend.
