No. 42 Princeton Takes Down Dartmouth 4-1, Stays Unbeaten In The League

No doubles point? No problem.
For the second time in two days, the Princeton women's tennis team spotted a league opponent the point for the doubles and then roared back in singles for a win. This time, it would be a sweep of the first four singles matches to finish, all in straight sets, as Princeton defeated Dartmouth 4-1 in a match moved indoors to the Si Qin Family Center due to the rains.
The win Sunday over the Big Green came one day after Princeton knocked off Harvard 4-3 after also losing the doubles point. The Tigers improved to 3-0 on the Ivy League season with the two victories.
In fact, there were four 2-0 teams when Sunday began and the guarantee that there would be two 3-0 teams when Sunday ended. Princeton, Dartmouth, Yale and Columbia were all unbeaten, and Princeton's win tied the Tigers for first with the winner of the Yale-Columbia match.
Madeleine Jessup was the first to win with a 6-1, 6-4 win at No. 4, followed on Court 6 with a Tsehay Driscoll's 6-2, 6-3 win. Eva Elbaz closed out her match at No. 3 6-3, 6-3, and she was followed about five minutes later by Bella Chhiv at No. 2, who clinched it 6-1, 6-3.
