The fencing team finished seventh at the 2004 NCAA Men's and Women's Fencing Championships at Brandeis after the four Princeton men maintained the seventh-place spot set by the four women days earlier.
After seven rounds on Saturday and Sunday, Eric Stodola placed 13th and Alejandro Bras took 21st in men's foil while Benjamin Solomon placed 19th and Fenil Ghodadra finished 21st in epee.
In the women's competition on Thursday and Friday, Jacqueline Leahy placed fourth out of 24 competitors in women's foil, marking the highest a Princeton fencer finished in 2004. Mina Morova finished 11th in saber, Sara Jew Lim placed 17th in foil and Erin McGarry took 14th in epee.
The seventh-place team finish was one spot below Princeton's finish in 2003. Ohio State won the event with 194 points, followed by Penn State (160) and Notre Dame (153). Ivy League rivals Columbia and Penn finished just ahead of the Tigers in the fifth and sixth places.
