Tigers Defeat Cornell, 6-1, in Men's Tennis

Princeton won four singles matches in straight sets and clinched the doubles point with hard-fought victories at Nos. 1 and 2 on the way to a 6-1 victory over Cornell in a men's tennis match played at the Lenz Tennis Center Friday afternoon.
The Tigers improve to 11-9 overall and 4-2 in Ivy League play heading into Saturday's season finale at Columbia.
Darius Craton and Dan Friedman (at No. 1) and Tim Kofol and Sratha Saengsuwarn (at No. 2) each won their doubles matches by 8-6 scores, clinching the doubles point for the Tigers. Princeton then dominated singles play, winning the final five singles matches.
Craton, at No. 2, Saengsuwarn, at No. 3, Kofol, at No. 4, and Hans Plukas, at No. 5, all won in straight sets. Andrew Lieu, at No. 6, was taken to three sets by Cornell's Ray Wu but rebounded with a strong 6-1 victory in the decisive set. Both Kofol and Plukas won the first set in tiebreakers before dominating in the second set.
