No. 38 Princeton Takes Down No. 37 Yale 4-1
April 18, 2026 | Men's Tennis
A Princeton men's tennis team that would like to keep its season going past Sunday's regular-season finale took a big step in that direction with a 4-1 win Saturday at home over Yale.
The win snapped a five-match Ivy League losing streak, a run dominated by excruciatingly close losses, and more importantly kept the Tigers alive for an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament. Princeton will host Brown Sunday at 1 for Senior Day, with one more opportunity to add to its postseason resume.
Princeton took the doubles point against Yale with wins at No. 1 from Paul Inchauspe/Top Nidunjianzan and No. 3 Meecah Bigun/Sebastian Sec at No. 3 before getting singles wins from Inchauspe at No. 1, Nidunjianzan at No. 2 and Aleksandar Mitric at No. 4.
Seniors Nidunjianzan, Sec and Ellis Short will be honored between the doubles and singles matches Sunday.
