Ryan Rich scored one goal and assisted on another as Princeton's men's soccer team rallied twice to tie No. 18 South Carolina 2-2 Sunday afternoon on the second day of games at the Penn Invitational.
Princeton, who defeated FDU Friday on the first day of the event, is now 3-1-1 on the season.
After South Carolina took a 1-0 lead three minutes before halftime, Rich tied the score 4:32 after intermission when he scored unassisted from 20 yards out.
South Carolina came right back to take a 2-1 lead 10 minutes later, but again that lead would not last. Princeton needed five minutes to tie it this time, as Rich set up Alex Reison's goal at 64:14.
The teams then played the final 25:46 of regulation and 20 minutes of overtime without breaking the tie.
Princeton would outshot South Carolina 14-12, including 3-2 in the two overtimes.
The Tigers play Furman Friday and Wofford Sunday in the Wofford Invitational at Wofford.
