Lindsey Biles, who scored a combined 10 goals in two Princeton victories to begin the 2005 season, has been named the Ivy League Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week for games ending March 14.
Biles, a senior from Annapolis, Md., had a career-high six goals to led the Tigers to a 15-11 victory over No. 11 Loyola Sunday afternoon at Class of 1952 Stadium. She also had a game-high four goals, including three in the decisive second half, to help Princeton to a 9-6 win over No. 6 Johns Hopkins in its season opener March 5.
A 2004 first-team All-America and first-team All-Ivy pick, Biles' 10 goals this season have come on just 16 shots. She also leads the Tigers with four caused turnovers this year.
Biles is now tied for eighth place all-time at Princeton with 130 career goals.
The Tigers, who could be ranked No. 1 nationally when the IWLCA poll is announced late Monday, travel to Duke Wednesday afternoon for a 2 p.m. game. That game can be heard live on an internet broadcast at GoPrincetonTigers.com.
