Men's Tennis Loses Tough One to No. 75 Utah, 5-2

SAN DIEGO, Calif. - In match that was certainly closer than the final score, the Princeton men's tennis team continued its Spring Break trip to California with a 5-2 defeat at the hands of 75th-ranked Utah Friday afternoon at the University of San Diego.
Princeton won two singles matches in straight sets and took three others to three sets, but the Utes would would win two of those three-set matches to earn the key points in the match.
Sratha Saengsuwarn earned a 6-4, 6-3 win over Miron Mann of Utah at No. 3 singles, while Andrew Lieu lost just two games in an easy win over Ryan Scott at No. 5.
Josh Burman won the first set at No. 1 over Utah's Tomasz Grzyb by a 6-1 score, but Grzyb came back to take the final two sets. At No. 2, Darius Craton won the second set against Zach Ganger 6-4 to tie the match, but Ganger earned a hard-fought 7-5 victory in the decisive third set.
Lieu and partner Hans Plukas won at No. 2 doubles for the Tigers, but Utah won at Nos. 1 and 3 to take the doubles point.
