Princeton, N.J. - Princeton men's hockey senior Luc Paquin was named first-team All-Ivy earlier today. Paquin was one of three Tigers to be recognized by the league. He becomes the first Tiger to be named first-team All-Ivy since Kirk Lamb and Darren Yopyk received the honor for the 1999-2000 season.
Paquin and sophomore teammate Grant Goeckner-Zoeller tied for the Ivy League lead in scoring, as each had 14 points in 10 league games. Paquin was the only defenseman in the top 10 and took one of the first-team defensive slots. He becomes the 14th Tiger to ever receive first-team All-Ivy honors. Paquin ranks third on the Tigers in scoring this season with a career-high 24 points. Junior Dustin Sproat was named to the Ivy League's second team after finishing fourth in Ivy League scoring with 11 points. He leads the Tigers with 16 goals and 33 points and shared in the ECAC Hockey league scoring title with 27 points.
Goeckner-Zoeller received honorable mention All-Ivy status. He shared in the Ivy League's scoring title with Paquin and ranks second on the Princeton squad with 20 points this season after notching 20 during his freshman campaign last year.
