Box Score
PRINCETON - Senior Blake Robinson had 18 kills and a .625 attack percentage while classmate Sean Vitousek had 10 kills, four blocks and a .571 attack percentage as the Princeton men's volleyball team ended a three-match losing streak with a solid 3-0 win over Stevens Tech, the No. 4 team in Division III.
Princeton won 30-19, 30-23 and 30-18 to move to 4-11 on the season, while Stevens Tech falls to 20-7.
The Tigers were in control of the match from the start and trailed only once, at 3-2 in the second game. A 6-1 run early in the first game put the Tigers ahead 11-4 and helped rid any bad tastes left from a tough home weekend against Juniata and Penn State. A block by Vitousek and setter Jack Pichard, who ended the match with 45 assists, gave Princeton the 30-19 win in game one.
Stevens Tech hung closest in the second game and even cut the deficit to three late, but kills from Robinson and Evan Pasion, combined with a slew of Stevens Tech errors, killed any chances for a win in the second game. Princeton never let up and dominated the third game.
Princeton will face St. Francis on Friday at 7 p.m.
