Men's Volleyball Ignites First Win Streak With 3-0 Win

PRINCETON - Freshman Peter Eichler recorded 14 kills while seniors Sean Vitousek and Blake Robinson combined for 16 kills to lead the Princeton men's volleyball team to a 3-0 win at St. Francis. The win opened the first two-match win streak for the Tigers, who face a must-win situation on Tuesday night.
Princeton cruised to a 30-16 win in the opener, but St. Francis challenged the Tigers in each of the last two games. Princeton held off the Red Flash for wins of 30-26 and 30-24 to improve to 5-11 overall. St. Francis falls to 10-9.
Eichler had 14 kills, four digs and three blocks to lead the way, while junior setter Jack Pichard recorded 34 assists. All match stats can be found by clicking the box score link above.
Princeton will next face NYU in a key road contest on Tuesday night. If Princeton wins, the Tigers will have the edge on the No. 5 spot for the EIVA playoffs. A loss would likely relegate Princeton to the lower division next season.
