Men's Tennis Ends Season With 4-3 Victory at Cornell

ITHACA, N.Y. - Hans Plukas earned the clinching win for Princeton at No. 4 singles and also won a close match at No. 1 doubles with partner Andrew Lieu as the Tigers defeated Cornell, 4-3, in a men's tennis match Sunday afternoon.
Princeton finishes the season with an impressive 14-8 overall record. The Tigers finished 3-4 in the Ivy League.
The match was tied at 3-3 after Princeton won the doubles point and Cornell took straight-set victories at Nos. 1, 3 and 6, but Pluaks defeated Dan Brous in a first-set tiebreaker and then 7-5 in the second set.
Darius Craton won at No. 2 singles for Princeton, defeating Nic Brunner 7-6 and 6-3. Andrew Lieu concluded an impressive season in singles by winning 6-3 and 6-2 at No. 5 singles.
Princeton won at Nos. 2 and 3 singles in impressive fashion. Plukas and Lieu went to a tiebreak with Brunner and Josh Raff, winning that tiebreak 7-2.
