Women's Tennis Concludes Season with 5-2 Victory over Cornell

Senior Stephanie Berg won in straight sets at No. 6 singles and teamed with Rankin Williams to earn a key victory at No. 3 doubles as the Princeton women's tennis team finished its season with a 5-2 victory over Cornell on Senior Day indoors at Jadwin Gym Sunday afternoon.
Berg, one of two Tiger seniors along with Kristen Carlin, joined with Williams to defeat Cornell's Kasia Preneta and Kara Maloy in doubles after the teams had split the first two matches. She then helped Princeton clinch the match with a 7-5, 6-4 victory over Melissa Tu in singles.
The Tigers finish the season 10-9 overall and 4-3 in Ivy League play.
Princeton also got straight-set singles wins from Jessica Siebel at No. 1, Alison Hashmall at No. 3 and Christine Kansky at No. 4. Kansky lost just six games in a defeat of Preneta, while Siebel lost just seven games in a win over Akane Kokubo.
Darcy Robertson and Joanna Roth won impressively at No. 2 doubles by an 8-1 score over Tu and Erica Takeuchi.
