Men's Tennis Gets Ivy League Win at Yale, 4-3

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Princeton men's tennis team earned its first Ivy League win Saturday afternoon with a 4-3 victory over Yale. The Tigers won a hotly-contested doubles point, then had two key three-set singles victories to clinch the match.
Princeton improved to 12-6 overall and 1-2 in Ivy League play.
The key singles matches for Princeton came at No. 3, where Sratha Saengsuwarn outlasted Rowan Reynolds 7-5 in the third set, and at No. 6, where senior David Gopstein lost the first set to Chris Lawler but rebounded to win the final two sets 6-1 and 6-2.
Princeton also got a straight-set win at No. 5 singles from Andrew Lieu, who defeated Rory Green 6-1 and 7-5
The Tigers won the doubles point when Andrew Lieu and Hans Plukas won in a tiebreak at No. 1 and Josh Burman and Saengsuwarn won a 9-7 decision at No. 2. Burman also played well at No. 1 singles against Yale's Brandon Wai, ranked No. 78 nationally, but fell 6-4 and 6-4.
