Women's Lacrosse to Host Fall Invitational Oct. 15

A powerful field featuring four 2005 NCAA tournament teams, including national champion Northwestern, will take the field Oct. 15 at Princeton's Class of 1952 Stadium when the women's lacrosse team hosts the Princeton Fall Invitational.
The Tigers will be joined by Northwestern, North Carolina, Virginia and Temple at the tournament, which will consist of 10 40-minute games played with a running clock, no halftime and no timeouts.
Each team will play four games, beginning with Princeton playing North Carolina at 9:30 a.m. The complete game schedule is available below.
Princeton, Virginia, Northwestern and North Carolina all reached the NCAA tournament last season, with each team advancing to at least the quarterfinal round. The Wildcats defeated Virginia in the national championship game one week after eliminating the Tigers in the quarterfinals.
Each of the five teams, with the exception of North Carolina, has won at least one national championship in women's lacrosse.
The Tigers will also play Hofstra one week earlier, Sat. Oct. 8, in a 1 p.m. game on the Hofstra campus in Hempstead, N.Y. The day will consist of a full game plus one extra half.
