Princeton won a tough doubles point and then clinched with four straight-set singles wins on the way to a 6-1 win over St. John's in a men's tennis match played at the Jadwin Gym courts Friday afternoon.
The Tigers (1-4) went ahead 1-0 thanks to a big win at No. 3 doubles from seniors Darius Craton and Shannon Morales, who defeated Claudio Halim and Morgan Bauer by an 8-6 score. Morales was then one of four Princeton players to win in straight sets in singles as the Tigers clinched the match.

Hans Plukas dispensed of Tom Green by scores of 6-4 and 6-3, while Morales won the first set easily over Bauer at No. 5 and then closed it out with a 7-5 win the second set.
Princeton's No. 1 doubles team of Lieu and Sratha Saengsuwarn, playing their first match together in the spring, defeated Svetlakov and Louis Desmarteaux by an 8-4 score.
