ALBANY, N.Y. - Nine members of the Princeton men's hockey team were among the 76 student-athletes named to the 2006 ECAC Hockey League All-Academic team. Princeton seniors Eric Leroux and Patrick Neundorfer each received the honor for the third time in their careers, while the other nine were honored for the first time.
Of the 12 institutions, Rensselaer led the way with 13 selections to this year's team, followed by Brown with 11 and Princeton with nine. That is the third-highest amount of honorees for Princeton since the league began the All-Academic team in 2000. Last season, five Tigers were named to the team.
Players are eligible for the All-Academic team if they have completed at least one academic year, have a cumulative grade point average of at least a 3.00 on a 4.00 scale, and have competed in at least one-half of her team's games during the current season.
