VERNON, N.J. - The Princeton women's golf team lost to Yale and Mother Nature Sunday as rain took away Princeton's chance at making up a nine-shot deficit and continuing its two-year run atop the Ivy leaderboard. Instead, Yale won by five shots over Harvard as 27 holes were played Saturday.
Yale finished with a team score of +56 with Harvard at +61 and Princeton at +65. Penn (+84), Columbia (+86), Brown (+90) and Dartmouth (+104) rounded out the field.
Rookie Susannah Aboff was Princeton's top competitor, at 14-over (82-40-122) seven shots behind Harvard's Emily Balmert. Sharla Cloutier (85-39-124) was 10th at +16, while Marlowe Boukis tied for 11th at +17 (85-40-125), Caitlin Sullivan tied for 13th at +18 (87-39-126) and Alexis Etow tied for 27th at +28 (92-44-136).
NCAA competition is next on Princeton's schedule with regional details to be announced. The regional event would take place May 11-13.
