Women's Tennis Routs Cornell, 7-0, in Season Finale

ITHACA, N.Y. - The Princeton women's tennis team concluded an outstanding final weekend of its 2006 season with a 7-0 defeat of Cornell Sunday afternoon at the Reis Tennis Center.
The Tigers, who finished above .500 both overall (10-9) and in the Ivy League (4-3), were dominating at the top of the singles lineup on Sunday. Darcy Robertson lost just four games in a defeat of Mollie Edison at No. 1, while senior Jessica Siebel, playing her final match, also lost just four games in a win over Kasia Preneta at No. 2.
Robertson also teamed with Joanna Roth to win by an 8-1 score at No. 2 doubles. The Tigers won all three doubles matches, including a win for another senior, Rankin Williams at No. 3.
Senior Allison Hashmall also concluded her career with a win, defeating Catherine Duboc 7-6 and 6-4 at No. 4 singles.
