Men's Water Polo Falls to UCLA and Pepperdine

STANFORD, Calif. -- The 15th-ranked Princeton men's water polo team fell to 5-3 for the season with a 15-2 loss at the hands of third-ranked UCLA and a 12-8 loss to eighth-ranked Pepperdine on Saturday at the NorCal Tournament being held at Stanford.
UCLA jumped ahead early in the game taking a 4-1 lead after a period of play. Sophomore Alex Edmunds scored for Princeton in the first half and junior Zach Beckmann added a goal in the final quarter. Junior Scott Syverson made five saves in the game.

Princeton faced eighth-ranked Pepperdine later in the day and lost by a score of 14-8. The game was tight throughout the first three quarters before the Waves pulled ahead with four unanswered goals in the final period. Senior Reid Joseph led all Tigers scorers with three goals, while senior Nicholas Seaver added a paor of goals. Syverson made four saves.
