STANFORD, Calif. -- The Princeton men's water polo team improved to 7-3 on the season with a pair of wins on Sunday at the NorCal Tournament. Princeton defeated Santa Clara 10-8 and UC Santa Cruz 14-6.
In the day's first game, junior goalkeeper Scott Syverson made 10 saves and senior Nicholas Seaver scored four goals as Princeton defeated Santa Clara on Sunday morning. Seaver was one of five Tigers to score in the win against Santa Clara. He was joined by sophomore Eric Vreeland, who tallied three goals, and sophomore Alex Edmunds, freshman Gregor Horstmeyer and senior Chris Kelsch, who each added a single goal. Syverson earned the win in goal by making 10 saves.

Princeton completed its weekend by defeating UC Santa Cruz 14-6 on Sunday afternoon. The win was Princeton's second of the day and its second in a three-day span against UC Santa Cruz. Sophomore Eric Vreeland led the offensive charge in the game with five goals, while Seaver added two goals. Seven other players each added a single goal. Syverson made five saves in the first half to earn the win.
