Princeton Crews Open Fall With Head Of The Charles; Eight Boats To Race
October 20, 2007 | Men's Rowing - Lightweight
While the major crew championships are held in the spring, one of the great traditions in the sport will take place this weekend. The Head of the Charles will be held Sunday, Oct. 21, on the Charles River in Boston. Eight Princeton crews will race, and there will be a Princeton tent in Alumni Village for friends, family and alumni.
Each of the four programs will send two squads to the Charles. The heavyweight men and the lightweight women will both send an eight and a four, while the lightweight men and the open women will both send a pair of eights. The full schedule is available by clicking on the link above.
Local fans of the Princeton crew programs can see the 2007-08 teams for the first time next Sunday at the Princeton Chase. GoPrincetonTigers.com will have more information about the Chase later in the week.
