Katie Lewis-Lamonica Named Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week

Princeton junior women's lacrosse midfielder Katie Lewis-Lamonica has been named the Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week after scoring nine goals on just 13 shots in two games this past week.
Lewis-Lamonica had a career-best six goals in Princeton's 19-10 victory at Rutgers March 7, including a four-goal outburst in a two-minute span early in the first half of that game. Four days later, in a 16-14 loss at No. 4 Duke, she had three goals and two assists as the Tigers came back from as much as a five-goal deficit in the first half.
Through three games this season, Lewis-Lamonica leads Princeton with 15 points (12 goals, three assists). She has scored on 12 of her 22 shot attempts this season (55%) and also leads the Tigers with eight draw controls.
The 2005 Ivy League Rookie of the Year, Lewis-Lamonica is also a member of the United States Elite Team. She led Princeton with 38 goals as a sophomore during the 2006 season.
The Tigers (2-1) host Penn State (4-1) at Class of 1952 Stadium Saturday afternoon (2 p.m.).
