Women's Lacrosse Hosts Loyola, ESPNU Under the Lights Wednesday at Princeton Stadium
March 20, 2007 | Women's Lacrosse
The Princeton women's lacrosse team welcomes both Loyola and a live television audience on ESPNU to campus Wednesday night as the Tigers look to end a two-game skid before heading on a three-game road swing.
Game time is 7 p.m., and the game will be played at Princeton Stadium, not Class of 1952 Stadium, to accommodate the television broadcast.
The Tigers (2-2) led Penn State 5-2 early in the second half this past Saturday at Class of 1952 Stadium, but the Lions then scored six straight goals and held on from there for an 8-7 win. Ashley Amo and Katie Lewis-Lamonica each scored two goals for Princeton.
Loyola (1-4) last played a week ago, when the Greyhounds fell to Boston University at home by a 14-10 score.
2007 marks the eighth consecutive season the Tigers and Greyhounds have played a regular-season game. Princeton has won the last four meetings with Loyola, including each of the last three regular-season games and an NCAA semifinal win in 2003, and leads the all-time series 6-3.
Kathleen Miller, Alex Gangler and Lewis-Lamonica each scored three goals for Princeton in a 12-7 win at Loyola last season. The Tigers exploded for a 9-3 halftime lead in that game and scored on 12 of their 23 shots to earn their fourth straight win over the Greyhounds.
