Cousins Signs With German Team for 2007-08
May 21, 2007 | Men's Ice Hockey
Senior defenseman Max Cousins will continue his hockey career professionally next season as he has recently signed a contract with TEV Miesbach, a member of the Oberliga, the third professional division in Germany. Cousins played in 79 games at Princeton and tallied a career-high 14 points as a senior.
Cousins will be one of five imports that the team will sign for next season, as they are limited to signing five non-German players. The other four will also likely come from NCAA Division I hockey schools. Cousins will report to the team's training camp in Italy in early August.
Patrick Neundorfer and Brian Carthas, Princeton graduates from 2006, played in the Oberliga last season. Neundorfer had 36 points in 49 games for Rosenheim, while Carthas had 27 points playing defense for Klostersee.
