Kramer Tabbed ECAC Hockey Rookie of the Week

Princeton freshman Mike Kramer was named the ECAC Hockey Rookie of the Week on Monday following a five-point weekend as 19th-ranked Princeton swept Yale and Brown to take over first-place in the league standings.
On Friday, Kramer had a goal and an assist in the Tigers' 4-3 win at Yale. Down 2-1 entering the third period, Kramer scored 57 seconds into the third period to knot the game at 2-2. Less than a minute later, Kramer had an assist as junior Lee Jubinville gave the Tigers their first lead of the night.
The following night, Kramer scored two goals and had an assist in Princeton's 6-2 win at Brown. He started the scoring in the win for Princeton when he netted his fourth goal of the season 3:23 into the first period and he capped the scoring with a goal in the third period. He also had an assist.
Kramer finished the weekend with five points. He had nine shots on goal and was a +5. He recorded five of his eight points this season over the weekend and has seven points in his last four games. Kramer was chosen as the first star in both wins.
Jubinville and junior Brett Wilson, linemates of Kramer, also had big weekends. Jubinville had six points while Wilson notched five. Both were named to the league's honor roll.
The two wins moved Princeton to 10-8 overall and 8-4 in ECAC Hockey entering final exams. The Tigers re-entered the national polls this week for the first time since November. Princeton is ranked No. 19 in the USCHO.com poll. Princeton has won its last five games and is back in action on Jan. 29 at Robert Morris.
