Loyola Hosts Princeton in Men's Soccer on Wednesday

PRINCETON, N.J. (9/30/08) ? The Princeton University men's soccer team heads back to the pitch on Wednesday, Oct. 1 for a 5 p.m., game against Loyola in Baltimore, Maryland.

The Tigers hold a slim, 4-3-4, advantage in the all-time series but it was the Greyhounds that won last year's meeting by a 2-1 decision.
Princeton is 2-5 on the season, and coming off of a 2-1 win over Fairleigh Dickinson. Sophomore Brandon Busch is at the top of the scoring column with six points off of two goals and two assists. Fellow sophomore Teddy Schneider has two goals for four points, and classmate Ben Burton has three points, after a three-point game on Sunday. Senior Joe Walter and sophomore Sean Lynch have split time in net. Walter has started in four games and has a 1-3 record, a 1.50 goals against average and a .727 save percentage. Lynch sports a 1-2 mark, a 1.33 GAA and a .692 save percentage.
Loyola is undefeated with a 6-0-1 record, including a 3-0-1 mark when playing at home. Junior Jamie Darvill leads the team offensively with 11 points off of four goals and three helpers. Sophomore Phil Bannister has three goals and one assist for seven points and classmate Eddie Dines has collected four points. Junior goalkeeper Milos Kocic has started in all seven games for the Greyhounds and has a 0.28 GAA, allowing just two goals in 650 minutes, and a .938 save percentage.
The team is ranked No. 1 in this week's North Atlantic regional poll and was ranked No. 17 in the NSCAA/adidas national poll last week.
