Men's Volleyball Reaches .500 Mark With Sweep Of Mercyhurst

Junior Mike Vincent had 11 kills, six blocks, three aces and a .600 attack percentage to lead the Princeton men's volleyball to a 3-0 victory over Mercyhurst College Thursday night at Dillon Gym. The win keeps Princeton unbeaten at home and gets it back to the .500 mark for the first time this season.
Vincent led a dominant Tiger effort in a 30-16, 30-26, 30-20 victory over the Mercyhurst Lakers. His six blocks, including four solo stops, were part of a 13-block effort from the Tigers. Fellow middle Jeff McCown also had six blocks (two solo) and hit .500 with nine kills.
Senior captain Peter Eichler led the team with 13 kills, while junior setter Brandon Denham had team highs in assists (40) and digs (nine). Head coach Glenn Nelson was able to get time for the majority of his roster, including freshman Keenan McCarthy, who ended the match with an ace. Classmate Vincent Tuminelli had two kills, while Jeff Zhao had a kill in his only swing.
Junior Phillip Rosenberg had four kills, while opposite Carl Hamming added three kills and three digs. Princeton will take on Stevens Tech Friday night at Dillon Gym.
