This Week's Storylines
Final Regular Season Weekend
The Princeton men's hockey team completes the regular season this weekend on the road at Clarkson and St. Lawrence. Friday night's game at Clarkson will pit the top two teams in ECAC Hockey. The two are separated by a point entering the final weekend.
Last Time Out
Princeton recorded its fifth league weekend sweep this season as it defeated Colgate and Cornell to clinch a top-two league finish and secure a bye for the first round of the ECAC Hockey playoffs.
The Colgate Game
Princeton never trailed last Friday in a 7-2 home win over Colgate. Junior Lee Jubinville had two goals and an assist, while freshmen Kevin Lohry and Mike Kramer each scored once and had two helpers. Princeton swept Colgate for the first time since the 1996-97 season.
The Cornell Game
Princeton completed the weekend sweep with a tight 2-1 win on Saturday against Cornell. Sophomore Jody Pederson made the score 1-0 in the first and junior Brett Wilson got the game winner in the second, before Cornell cut the lead in half for a 2-1 final. Princeton swept Cornell for the first time since the 1994-95 season.
Ivy Title
Princeton's win at Dartmouth clinched the Tigers their first Ivy League title since the 1999 season when Princeton shared the title with Yale. Princeton's last outright Ivy title came in 1953. Princeton now has five Ivy League championships. The Tigers finished the season 9-1 in Ivy games, setting a new team record for Ivy wins in a season.
Top Two
Princeton's weekend sweep, combined with a Quinnipiac loss on Sunday afternoon clinched a top-two ECAC Hockey finish for Princeton. It will be Princeton's highest regular season finish. Previous, Princeton's high was fourth, which was last accomplished in the 1998-99 season.
First Round Bye
Princeton secured a first-round bye with its weekend sweep of Colgate and Cornell. It is Princeton's first series bye since the ECAC adopted its current playoff format for 2002-03 season. Princeton's 17 wins ranks fifth-best in program history for wins in a season. Princeton's high came in 1998-99 with 20 and the Tigers had 18 in 1994-95, 1996-97 and 1997-98.
14 ECAC Wins
Princeton's 14 league wins sets a program record for league wins in a season. Princeton's previous high was 13, which occurred twice, in 1967-68 and 1998-99.

Princeton climbed in both national polls this week, moving up three spots in the USA Today Poll to No. 12 and three spots in the USCHO.com poll to No. 14. Friday's opponent, Clarkson, is ninth in one and 10th in the other.

Princeton has won 12 of its last 14 games dating back to a 5-3 win at Nebraska-Omaha on Dec. 30, 2007. In that span the Tigers have doubled their opponents 54-27.
Third Period Rallies
Princeton has come from behind in the third period four times in its last 14 and nearly did it at Union. Princeton rallied from a 2-1 deficit at Nebraska-Omaha, a 1-0 deficit at home against Harvard, a 2-1 deficit at Yale and a 1-0 deficit at home against Brown. Princeton won just once last season when trailing after two periods.

Recent History
Princeton has won two of its last three games against Clarkson, sweeping the Golden Knights last season with wins of 4-2 in Potsdam and 7-1 at home. Clarkson won 6-2 in Princeton in November. Junior Brett Wilson and sophomore Kevin Kaiser scored in the loss.
Scouting the Golden Knights
Colgate is 18-10-4 overall and 13-4-3 in the league and enters the weekend off a three-point effort last weekend, tying Union and topping Rensselaer. Clarkson is 3-1-2 in its last six games played.
Princeton vs. St. Lawrence
Princeton and St. Lawrence close the regular season on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. Princeton is 17-55-5 all-time against the Saints and is 6-29-2 in the series on the road.
Recent History
St. Lawrence and Princeton have alternated wins in the last four games between the teams. The Saints won 4-3 in the first meeting of this season in Princeton. The teams split in each of the previous two seasons with both teams winning twice on home ice.
Scouting the Saints
St. Lawrence is 10-18-4 overall and 5-13-2 in ECAC Hockey. The Saints are 1-9-1 in their last 11 games with a win over Cornell and a tie with Niagara. St. Lawrence was swept in each of its last two weekends, at Yale and Brown, and at Rensselaer and Union.

Balanced Effort
Princeton offense has been balanced all season as the Tigers' 89 goals have come from 20 different skaters. In addition, 21 of Princeton's 22 skaters have registered at least one point this season. Princeton also has 13 skaters with double-digit point totals.
Offense From the Back
With freshman Cam Ritchie's assist against Cornell, Princeton now has four defensemen with double-digit point totals. Princeton last accomplished that in the 1994-95 season.
Turning the Tide
After starting last season 1-6-2, the Tigers finished out the season 14-10-1. With an 17-10 record this season, the Tigers are 31-20-1 over the last 52 games.
Ranked Teams
Princeton has faced five ranked teams this season and is 1-4 in those games. Princeton fell to No. 8 Clarkson 6-2, No. 18 Rensselaer 4-3 and No. 6 Notre Dame 4-2 and 7-0. Princeton's win came over No. 15 Harvard by a 2-1 score. Princeton's sixth ranked opponent will be Clarkson this Friday.

Individual Notes
2-Schroeder-Every Game
Sophomore defenseman Brad Schroeder has been Princeton's top defensive defenseman much of the season. Schroeder missed last weekend's games but is expected back in the lineup this weekend.
3-Pederson-Every Game
Sophomore Jody Pederson is the only Tiger to appear in every game this season. Pederson had three points last weekend with a pair of assists against Colgate and a his third goal of the season against Cornell. He now has 15 points this season.
4-Fedun-Three Point Weekend
Freshman Taylor Fedun has four points in his last four games, including his fourth goal of the season, which came in the Colgate win. Fedun is +11 for the season to tie for the team lead in the category.
6-Jubinville-Top of the List
Junior Lee Jubinville leads Princeton with 34 points this season. He also leads the league in conference points (28) and overall points, averaging 1.31 points per game. His numbers also rank 10th nationally. He is the third Tiger to reach the 30-point mark since the 2000-01 season. Dustin Sproat last did it with 35 points in 2004-05.
7-Ritchie-Offensive Stretch
Freshman defenseman Cam Ritchie became the fourth Princeton defenseman this season to reach double digits in points. Ritchie assisted on Jody Pederson's goal against Cornell for his seventh assist and 10th point of the year.
9-Bartlett-Double Digits
Sophomore Dan Bartlett assisted on Mike Moore's goal against Harvard for his 11th point of the season. Bartlett was +2 in the Dartmouth win.
10-Stankievech-First Rhodes, Then Pyne
Senior Landis Stankievech was one of three Princeton students to receive a Rhodes Scholarship. Most recently he was awarded Princeton's Pyne Prize. The senior from Trochu, Alberta is the second Princeton hockey player to win the award, joining Mike Spence. Stankievech had an assist in Friday's win at Colgate.
11-Pridham-Senior Season
Senior Erik Pridham has points in two of his last six games played, including a goal against Notre Dame and an assist at Nebraska-Omaha.
12-Lohry-First Goal
Freshman Kevin Lohry recorded his first three-point game on Friday with a goal and two assists against Colgate. He know has 10 points for the season.
14-Magnowski-Game Winners
Sophomore Mark Magnowski has scored seven goals this season and four have proven to be game winners. He added an assist in Friday's win over Colgate.
15-Godlewski-First Year
Freshman Matt Godlewski has a goal and an assist in 24 games on the Tiger blueline. His goal came against Quinnipiac.
16-Wilson-Player of the Week
Junior Brett Wilson had four points over the weekend and was named the ECAC Hockey Player of the Week. Wilson now has 29 points for the season and ranks second to teammate Lee Jubinville in ECAC conference scoring.
17-Kaiser-Back Home
Sophomore Kevin Kaiser had a goal and an assist against Colgate for his second consecutive two-point game. He also had a goal and an assist in the previous game at Dartmouth.
18-Beachell-Sophomore Season
Sophomore Tyler Beachell has a goal and an assist in 14 games played this season. His goal came against St. Lawrence.
19-Kushniruk-Adding Assists
Junior Brandan Kushniruk has assists in two of his last five games, including an assist on Kevin Kaiser's goal in Princeton's win at Dartmouth.
21-Moore-Captain's Contribution
Senior Mike Moore had his four-game scoring streak snapped on Saturday. He had six points in the previous four games.
22-Kramer-Great in '08
Freshman Mike Kramer has recorded 14 of his 15 points this season since the calendar turned to 2008. Kramer has five multiple-point games in 2008, including a three-point night in Princeton's win over Colgate.
23-Shattenkirk-Two More Points
Senior Keith Shattenkirk has recorded points in three of his last five games. He scored in Princeton's win at RPI and had assists in the Brown and Yale wins.
25-Hagel-Game Winner
Senior Kyle Hagel netted his second goal of the season in the Yale win. The goal was the game winner.
26-Arhontas-Two-Goal Game
Freshman Matt Arhontas scored twice in Princeton's win at Dartmouth, opening and closing the scoring for Princeton. He has nine points this season.
27-MacIntyre-Back Contributing
Sophomore Cam MacIntyre returned to the Princeton lineup this weekend after missing three games with an injury. He had assists in both wins.
28-Crane-Sophomore Season
Sophomore Kevin Crane has appeared in 12 games for Princeton this season.
30-Sychterz-Junior Season
Junior Thomas Sychterz last played in Princeton's loss at Union. He stopped both the shots he faced in 18:30 of action.

Sophomore goaltender Zane Kalemba stopped 38 of the 41 shots he faced this weekend to pick up both wins. Kalemba has backstopped Princeton to 13 of its 14 league wins.
34-Reynolds-Freshman Year
Freshman Alan Reynolds last played in Princeton's win at Nebraska-Omaha. He made 11 saves in 28 minutes of action.
