No. 2 Women's Lacrosse Heads To Columbia For Wednesday Night Ivy Tilt

The Princeton women's lacrosse team, still ranked No. 2 nationally, begins a week of Ivy League play with a Wednesday night matchup against Columbia at Wien Stadium in New York City. Game time is 7 p.m.
The Tigers (7-0, 1-0 Ivy) have never lost to Columbia in 10 meetings, outscoring the Lions 166-33 in those 10 games. The Lions (3-5, 0-3 Ivy) fell to Penn 13-2 at Franklin Field last Saturday.
Princeton defeated Cornell 19-10 Saturday at Class of 1952 Stadium, scoring seven straight first-half goals on the way to a 10-3 halftime advantage. Freshman Lizzy Drumm had a season-high five goals to lead the Tigers, who defeated the Big Red for the 21st consecutive time.
Princeton, one of three remaining Division I teams (top-ranked Northwestern and Old Dominion are the others), has played from ahead for most of the 2008 season. Princeton has trailed for just more than 39 minutes in 420 total minutes of action this season.
The Tigers will host Yale Saturday afternoon at Class of 1952 Stadium (2 p.m.).
