No. 5 Open Women Remain Perfect With Sweep Of Columbia, Rutgers

The impressive start for the fifth-ranked Princeton open women continued Saturday morning with a sweep of Columbia and Rutgers on Lake Carnegie. The Tigers were dominant in the morning, winning all five races during the regatta.
The Tiger first varsity moved to 4-0 on the season with a winning time of 7:02.8. Columbia placed second in 7:08.5, while Rutgers took third in 7:30.8. That would be Princeton's closest margin of victory throughout the morning. The second varsity won in 7:32.1, more than 25 seconds faster than Columbia, while the varsity four won in 8:33.2, more than 23 seconds faster than Columbia.
Princeton had a pair of winning novice boats; the novice eight topped Rutgers by more than 33 seconds with a winning time of 7:27.9, while the novice four won in 9:05.3, more than 26 seconds faster than Rutgers.
Princeton will make its first road trip of the season when it heads to the Charles River in Cambridge, Mass., next Saturday morning to take on Harvard and Cornell.
