Stankievech Receives Class of 1916 Cup

Landis Stankievech has won the Class of 1916 Cup, awarded to the Princeton varsity letterwinner who, continuing in competition in his or her senior year, achieved at graduation the highest academic standing. It was given by the Class of 1916 on the occasion of its 50th reunion.
Stankievech excelled at Princeton in the classroom and on the ice. He has received several extraordinary academic distinctions during his Princeton career, including a Rhodes Scholarship, the Pyne Prize and was college hockey's Lowe's Senior Class Award winner.
On the ice he was a key part of Princeton's 2008 ECAC and Ivy championship team and secured the ECAC title with the game-winning goal in the title game against Harvard.
Stankievech is a mechanical and aerospace engineering major from Trochu, Alberta.
