Navy Runs Past Sprint Football 42-0 on Friday Night

Navy broke a scoreless tie late in the first quarter with a touchdown on its third drive of the game. Each team missed a field goal prior to the go-ahead score. All six of Navy's scores came on the ground, including a pair of touchdowns from Jordan Foley and a 71-yard touchdown run from Marty Meehan. Navy had 494 of its 579 yards come on the ground.
On the Tiger side of the ball, quarterback Jay Zachariah had nine completions for 89 yards, including a long of 27 yards to Kees Thompson. Thompson also ran for 22 yards. Robert Addis hauled in four of Zahariah's pass attempts for 36 yards.
On defense, Eben Novy-Williams had 11 tackles to lead the team and he also forced and recovered a fumble. Mike Howard also had a fumble recovery and Andrew Gabriele recorded a sack.
The Tigers fall to 0-5 overall with the loss and are now 0-3 in CSFL play. Princeton hosts Mansfield next Friday night at 7 p.m.
