Sprint Football Scores Twice, but Penn Rolls to 91-13 Win
October 30, 2009 | Sprint Football
PRINCETON -- Kees Thompson scored two long touchdowns for the Princeton sprint football team Thursday night, but Penn rolled up plenty of offense in a 91-13 win.
The loss ended the season for Princeton at 0-7, though the Tigers' 34 points on the campaign were its most since 2007.
The Tigers made it a game early after Jay Zachariah connected with Thompson, who eluded tacklers for a 71-yard TD catch seven minutes into the contest. Penn scored the next 62 points, putting the game out of reach before Thompson ran a kickoff back 87 yards for a score to make it 72-13.
Penn rolled up 728 yards of offense to 178 for Princeton, which was led by Zachariah's 141 passing yards. Thompson finished with 423 all-purpose yards, including 327 on kick returns.
