Volleyball Runs Win Streak To Four, Sweeps Brown At Dillon Gym

Balanced hitting and strong defense led the Princeton women's volleyball team to a 3-0 home victory over Brown Friday night. The win was Princeton's fourth straight overall and third straight at home, and it was also Princeton's first three-set victory of the season.
Princeton had four players with between 10 and 11 kills in the match. Senior co-captain and reigning Ivy League Player of the Week Sheena Donohue led all players with 11 kills, while a trio of other players had 10 kills. Reigning Ivy League Rookie of the Week Lydia Rudnick had seven kills, while sophomore Cathryn Quinn had 10 kills and hit .600 for the match.
Senior co-captain Taylor Carroll had one of the best matches of her career; the rightside hitter recorded 10 kills and 15 digs and hit .389 for the match. She also added three assists and a solo block. Junior Elizabeth McStravick recorded six kills with no errors and four blocks for Princeton, which will take on reigning Ivy League champion Yale Saturday at 4 p.m. The Bulldogs, who fell at Penn Friday night, stand one match ahead of Princeton in second place heading into Saturday's match.
Sophomore Michaela Venuti paced the Princeton offense with 39 assists in the win.
