Volleyball Sees Win Streak End Against Yale

The Princeton women's volleyball team saw its four-match win streak end Saturday afternoon at the hands of defending Ivy League champion Yale. The Bulldogs improved to 17-3 on the season with a 25-12, 25-16, 25-21 victory over Princeton, which is now 7-13.
The Tigers, who are still in a battle for third place in the Ivy League with five matches remaining, got steadily better against the talented Bulldogs, but they were not able to win a set. Princeton dropped the opener 25-12 before losing 25-16 and 25-21 in the final two sets. The Tigers are now 5-4 in Ivy play, although they have won four of their last five.
Freshman Lydia Rudnick continued her stellar play with 10 kills, four digs and a .261 attack percentage, while sophomore Hillary Ford led the Tigers defensively with 15 digs. Sheena Donohue recorded eight kills and nine digs, while Taylor Carroll recorded four digs, three assists and eight digs. Sophomore setter Michaela Venuti recorded 22 assists and six digs for Princeton, which heads to Cornell and Columbia next weekend.
