PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton University women's volleyball team swept Harvard inside Dillon Gymnasium Friday night, 3-0 (25-20, 25-21, 25-15), and clinched at least a share of the 2025 Ivy League championship.
The Ivy League title is the 21st in program history, which is the most by any Ivy League program. It is the seventh under Head Coach Sabrina King, the second time she has won back-to-back titles and the Tigers' seventh in the past 10 seasons.
The first set began with a pair of Ava Harrington kills and a Crimson attacking error, setting the tone early for what was an impressive night for the Tigers. With Princeton up 17-14, kills by Draper, Nutakor and McNair extended the Tigers' lead to 20-14. From there, the Tigers went on to prevail in the opening set, 25-20.
While Harvard opened the second set with a 4-0 run, the Tigers battled back with a 4-0 run of their own and narrowed the deficit to one at 10-9. Princeton kept it close and eventually took the lead at 19-18. Led by a kill by Shelby Burriss, the Tigers closed the set out on a 5-0 run and went on win, 25-21.
The Tigers got off to a fast start in the third set, with a kill by Scalmandre igniting a 5-0 run that put the Princeton in front, 7-1. With the Tigers leading 14-11, another Scalamandre kill led a 7-0 run that gave the Tigers a double figure advantage, 21-11. Princeton held on to earn the 25-15 third set victory.
