Princeton never trailed in the win, racing to leads of 4-1 and 5-2 in the first half before scoring the games final five goals to establish the seven-goal margin of victory. Zalewski opened the scoring with the first of six man-up goals for the Tigers in the win. All three of his goals came on ejections, as did junior Matt Hale's two and sophomore Mike Helou's one.
Princeton opened up first half leads of as many as three goals, but Bucknell got within one early in the third quarter on Richie Hyden's second goal, but Princeton quickly countered and pulled away over the second half.
All three Tiger goalkeepers played in the win as senior Scottie Hvidt started and made seven saves in the first half. Junior Mike Merlone made five saves and senior Henry Fyfe made two.
Princeton improved to 7-5 overall with the win and is now 4-1 in the Southern Division, tied atop the standings with Bucknell. Princeton takes a break from league play next weekend when it travels to California to play USC and then take part in the UCI Invitational.
