April 19, 2009 | Men's Tennis
PRINCETON -- While the Princeton women's tennis team was celebrating an Ivy League title on Columbia's courts, the Lions' men's tennis team returned the favor at Princeton Sunday afternoon, winning the outright league crown with a 7-0 victory.
Princeton finished its season with two more Ivy League victories than a year ago, defeating Penn, Harvard and Dartmouth in three of their four home matches. The Tigers' 11-10 overall record is also two victories better than last season's 9-11 finish.
Five of Columbia's six singles wins Sunday came in straight sets, while Princeton's Alex Faust was able to take a 6-2 first-set win before falling in three.
