NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- Yale outlasted the Princeton men's tennis team 4-3 Friday afternoon in New Haven, Conn., handing the Tigers their first Ivy League loss of the season.
Yale had the lead early after sweeping the doubles point, and Princeton fell one singles match short of bouncing back for the win. Peter Capkovic won at first singles and in straight sets, while Ryan Kim and Charlie Brosens each claimed three-set wins at third and sixth, respectively.
Princeton's best chance at the fourth point came at fourth singles where George Carpeni fell in three sets. Yale won at second and fifth singles in straight sets.
Princeton will continue its trip at Brown Saturday at 2 p.m.
