Five from Women's Lacrosse Earn Postseason Honors

PRINCETON, N.J. (5/26/09) ? Five members of the Princeton women's lacrosse team were recognized by womenslacrosse.com as the Web site released its list of All-America and special award honorees on Tuesday, May 26.
Seniors Holly McGarvie and Marie McKenna were named first-team All-America. Sophomore goalie Erin Tochihara was named second-team All-America and senior Kristin Schwab earned third-team honors. Freshman Lindsey deButts was named to the All-Rookie Team.
McGarvie was a first-team All-America selection by the IWLCA and was the Ivy League co-Player of the Year. She earned four All-Ivy honors during her career and was a Tewaaraton Trophy nominee twice.
McKenna was on the Tewaaraton Watch List this year while earning second-team All-America honors by the IWLCA. She was an unanimous selection for first-team all-league, the second year she earned the honor.
Tochihara was a second-team All-America selection by the IWLCA and was named second-team All-Ivy as well. She was a nominee for this year's Tewaaraton Trophy.
Schwab was named first-team all-region by the IWLCA and was first-team all-league as well as the Tigers' third-leading scorer.
deButts started in 18 games in her freshman campaign and was assigned to mark many of the countries top players on defense. The team finished the year with an 8.67 goals against average, the third best average in the nation.
