Men's Soccer Climbs National Poll & RPI

PRINCETON, N.J. (10/26/10) - After posting a 2-1 win over Harvard this past week the Princeton men's soccer team has moved up in the national poll and NCAA RPI ratings.
The Tigers are ranked No. 20 in the National Soccer Coaches Association (NSCAA) National Poll, up three spots from last week. The team is also ranked No. 28 by College Soccer News and No. 24 by Top Drawer Soccer.
Princeton launched itself to 24th in the third NCAA RPI ratings of the season. The Tigers were 31st one week ago. The RPI is the most important of the criteria the NCAA uses to determine the 48-team field for the NCAA Tournament. The RPI is a mathematical formula designed to objectively compare results and strength of schedule.
